Spring has arrived, and the Drums of War begin to Beat. You want to go to Pennsic! Everyone you talk to makes it sound like so much fun…

…but you’ve never done anything like this, so… now what do you do?

Pennsic 101 will be at Hawkes Reache A&S Night this Friday May 27th, 7PM

Pennsic is a most wonderful SCA event and attending this class will help you to both prepare and have the best time possible… We will discuss how to prepare for Pennsic, what you will need to do and bring. We will answer questions you may have on how to manage to get your things to Pennsic and what you can expect when you finally get there and get set up. If you have garb you’ve already made and are not sure it’s Pennsic-ready, bring it. We can help you decide.

If you’re thinking about Pennsic but haven’t quite decided – come on out!
If you haven’t been to Pennsic in several years, or feel like you’re missing out on something because all you do there is (fill in the blank) feel free to join us!

If you took the class at 1066, and still have questions, or just want to hear some of it again, feel free to join us – since this is a question-driven class, it’s a bit different each time.

We’re Back Northern A&S night – Friday, November 6 at 7:30

We’re back! Please join us for our November A&S night on Friday, Nov.6 at 7:30 PM.

Bring your sewing, cooking, C&I or anything else you fancy, and join us for a night of creativity and fun! We’ll have dinner, bring desserts if you like.

Address for the gathering: 4291 Napier Avenue, Bronx NY 10470, the home of Luigi
and Jackie Kapaj (Baron Luigj and Baroness Jacqueline Helene Loisel)

Directions: Public transportation: # 4 train to the end of the line – Woodlawn
station. When you go downstairs go across the street to the bus shelter and take
either the number 34 or 16 it is only a short ride the bus follows along the
Woodlawn Cemetery and turns on the corner of East 233rd street. As soon as you
see the BP Gas Station on the left at the first light one block up) ring the
bell the next stop is Napier Avenue. Cross the street and walk 3 short blocks
Our house is the one on the corner of E236th street entrance on Napier.

Driving: From the south Take your best route to the Major Deegan (87) and use
exit 13 EAST 233rd Street, at the end of the exit ramp is a light go straight
**at the next light make a left onto Van Cortland Park East (The BP Station is
on the corner) go three blocks to Napier avenue our house is on the corner on
the right.

From the north take your best route to the Major Deegan (87) take exit 13 EAST
233rd street at the end of the ramp make a left at the light onto East 233rd
street follow directions from ** above

A & S night is Back! Hope everyone enjoyed their pennsic! If you were unable to go to pennsic, I hope you had a good time at home or where ever you might have been! A&S night is scheduled for Friday September 4 at 7:30!

Because this is a holiday weekend I would appreciate an rsvp if you are planning to attend so that I can prepare the right amount of food. .

This month only Northern A&S night will be on Thursday, July 2

Due to the 4th of July holiday which most people will have off on Friday I am changing the meeting night to Thursday, July 2nd at 7:30 PM This is a one time only change. There is no August meeting (We will be at Pennsic) and Northern A&S night will resume on the first friday in September
