Taci e Balla! Renaissance Dance Workshop & Practice

Taci e Balla, shut up and dance! Please join us in rehearsing our steps as we anticipate the spring ball season. As with traditional country dances of 15th C England, we begin with bransles: double, single, Cassandre & Pinagay. If you can step to your left and to your right, and sometimes do a little kick in the air, you are ready to rumba! Er, I mean bransle! (Pronounced brawl, and can indeed become quite lively.)

Come join us for the February Scribal Workshop

Our next monthly Scribal Workshop is on Sunday 2/12 2pm to 4pm!

As we progress through our workshops we will cover all aspects of pre-17th century calligraphy and illumination.

The workshop will be at City League Coffee Roasters  6808 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220. It is a great local coffee shop with delicious brews, yummy treats and plenty of work space. We have access to the space in exchange for patronizing the coffee shop.

We will continue to work on our gothic textura quadrata calligraphy. Handouts and starter materials will be provided.
Please bring a favorite quote or poem or song lyrics to use for practice.
Bring your scribal kits if you have them and feel free to bring any projects you may be working on.

Garb or Historical Costume is not required.

January Arts & Crafts night will be an in-person event Wednesday, January 25th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Astoria, Queens.

After many years of service, our beautiful ceremonial seahorse banners need replacing.

To start the new year right by beautifying the Province, I will host an in-person workshop to pattern new banners. If you would like to participate, please email me at 206055@members.eastkingdom.org to reserve a spot.
