Classes

From 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, Mistress Vika and Lady Mariette de Bretagne will have a consultation table set up where artisans can get feedback on their work. Bring your works-in-progress, your documentation, and any questions you may have.

At 12:30, they will hold a class on documentation. Whether you’re preparing for a display or a competition, this class will help you figure out the what, when, how, and why of creating A&S documentation.

Both the class and the consultation table will be in the downstairs meeting room.

Largesse & Toybox Challenge

There are two challenges open for artisans of the East:

#1: The Toy Box Challenge:  Make 10 of an item for children ranging in age up to 16.

The children in attendance will *vote* with beads for the item that they like the most.

The maker with the most beads, at the end of the challenge (30 minutes before court), gets to choose 1 item to keep. This item may be from either the Toy Box group or the standard Largesse group.

#2: The Largesse Challenge: Make 10 of an item. (Preferably period, or with period materials).

The populace in attendance will *vote* with beads for the item that they like the most. The maker with the most beads, at the end of the challenge (30 minutes before court), gets to choose 1 item to keep. This item may be from either the
standard Largesse group or the Toy Box group.

  • Please remember, if your item contains any kind of food product, alcohol, oil essence, soap, or popurri, it *MUST* have an ingredients list with each item.
  • Please be aware that scents can trigger migraines and other health issues. Do your best to wrap your items individually, as to help contain some of the scent.
  • Each item must also be labled with your name, sca chapter and email or mailing address.
