Site tokens?
Lada asks about A&S display. It would need to
be indoors, a long walk from the tourney field, but
could do this. Tabled.
Hannah is doing event web site.
Brief discussion of ACCEPS; decided not to use it.
Lada needs to go see the site, as do several other
people (Carl, Guy, Gary, Suuder, Johanna, …). Site
visit and crew-chief meeting 2/9, 9 AM.
Valgard will make up event book, incl. map of site.
Anybody taking a job for the event, please give Tormundr
your preferred e-mail address.
Site is ABSOLUTELY dry. Valgard will check on
tobacco, dogs.
Feast limited to 100 due to hall size. DKrevor
suggests taking a very long waiting list, because people
at Crown often abandon their feast reservations.
Have somebody staffing the seating chart to avoid
duplication, check reservations, etc.
Ian suggests feast tickets, which must be surrendered to
the person at the seating chart. Tickets are
transferrable, on your own. Half an hour before
the feast, all unclaimed seats will be sold to the
waiting list. Discuss on Officers' list to see if
we can make things simpler.
6 people at High Table, 96 people in hall, plus feed
kitchen & serving staff; estimate 120. No
off-board in the hall; there are picnic tables outside
for off-boarders.
Comp Majesties and Highnesses, kitchen & serving
staff, nobody else. (If Highnesses have already
paid for feast, they can transfer their feast fix to
somebody else.)
Come up with a clear policy on who qualifies as "kitchen
& serving staff" for comp purposes.
Prereg & cancellation deadline two weeks in
advance. No late fee.

Feb. 15 at Bish's.
Sunday, February 17. A monthly
tournament designed to give fighters practice at tourney
fighting and to teach newer fighters about the formal
trappings of an SCA tournament. The winner of the
tournament is declared "Beau Geste" and gets to help run
the next month's tournament. We hope to draw fighters
from not only Ostgardr but the whole of the southern
region. The tourney will take place at noon at Grant's
Tomb, West 122nd Street and Riverside Drive in
Manhattan. There is ample parking. Vive le Beau Geste!
Sunday 2/17 in the basement common
room of 552 Riverside Drive, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00
p.m. Please bring any scribal questions you may
have and/or your ongoing projects to discuss and work on
in a group of fellow scribes :-)
We will be
working on blanks for Provincial awards.
