Our next commons is this coming Friday, November 16th, at the Greenvale Townhouse diner, in Lions End, 49 Glen Cove Rd, Greenvale, NY. All are welcome and encouraged to attend! The diner is a 5 min walk (on sidewalks with no street crossings) from the Greenvale station on the Oyster Bay LIRR. There is plenty of parking.

We have a reservation under “Ostgardr” for 16 people at 7pm. We need to start clearing out by 9:30 so they can reset the room for a larger party. Please RSVP if you think you would like to attend, so we can adjust the reservation numbers higher if necessary. Thank you!

We will order dinner beginning at 7pm. I would like to start the meeting at 7:45pm (15 minutes earlier than our usual start time), to accommodate the restaurant’s need for us to clear the room at 9:30 and to provide an opportunity to socialize post-meeting.

If you RSVP that you will be joining remotely, I will add you to the hangout so that you are notified when the call starts. You may also simply join the call in progress if you prefer. Among other topics, we will read into the record letters of intent submitted by candidates for provincial office, and continue our discussion about provincial storage options. Candidates for provincial office are urged to join the meeting, either in person or remotely. Officers, please submit your reports, preferably by Wednesday (Nov. 14th), so we can add your concerns to the agenda!

Recurring practices

Outdoor weekly practices will probably start wrapping up until spring in November, as the weather gets colder and snow begins to fall – keep an eye on our mailing list or Facebook page for the latest news!

Outdoor weekly practices include:

  • Central Park dance practice, Tuesdays 6:30pm (already ended for winter)
  • Brooklyn Armored Fighting Practice at McCarren Park, Tuesdays 7:30pm
  • Central Park rapier practice and bardic circle, Wednesdays 7pm (bardic has ended for winter, rapier has not yet as of November 10)
  • Lions End archery practice, Sundays 9am, Cedar Creek Park (already ended for winter)
  • Staten Island archery practice, Sundays 12pm, Willowbrook Park (already ended for winter)

Note also that Northpass is starting a monthly indoor dance practice in Port Chester. Email dance@northpass.eastkingdom.org to be added to the mailing list for Northpass dance practices. There was a practice last Sunday the 11th, and there will be another on Tuesday the 27th (see below for link).
